Thank you !!!!!
Dear Year 1 Parents,
A massive thank you for the incredibly generous gift of Cornish goodies and of course, my favourite  "Tarquin's" ! I was so touched by your kind message , it is so very much appreciated.
I feel privileged to have been able to teach your wonderful children this year, despite the unexpected turn of events in March. I have seen them grow  academically and creatively. They have become more confident, independent, resilient and over all even more lovely. Even during the school closures they continued to show their love for learning, which was evident in the high quality work I received. Since our partial return in June, the children in school have been an absolute joy to be with or to see, wave to or pull silly faces at, from a safe distance. I have also had the most delightful conversations with some of the children who have continued with home learning.
None of this would have been possible without your continued support and hard work. It has been a unique year of shared teaching and learning between all of us.
I hope you can all have a well deserved rest with your families and I look forward to watching your children continue their learning journey in September.
Thank you once again .

"Commotion in the Ocean" by Year 1
Week Beginning 13th July
Hello lovely Y1 home learners. It was great to speak to some of you on the telephone this week. I miss you all so much! I will make some more calls next week.
We hope you have enjoyed reading and creating your Stick Man stories and watching the film.
This week will be the last week of home learning but I will add some Summer Activity packs on general resources if you want to have a look.
Have a lovely week and I will send you a message next week for the end of term.
Best wishes and virtual hugs from Mrs Olive , Bubble 3 and Bubble 4.
Stick Man
Look at the fun we had in Bubble 4 making our own Stick Man figures. Mr Cotterill made the Stick Man bodies and we had to find the perfect sized twigs to fit the holes. We learned about length, width and diameter as well as perseverance! When the twigs did not always fit or fell out, we persevered until our Stick Men were complete!
In Bubble 4 we used our story maps and speech bubbles to retell some of the story. We made it into a mini iMovie!
Week Beginning 6th July
Hello once again, lovely home learners. We still miss you and hope you are all keeping well.
Enjoy your home learning this week and I hope to be able to speak to some of you on the telephone soon.
